2026 Idaho BDR Tour

Guided Idaho BDR Tour: September 5th to September 13th, 2026

The Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route is a rider’s dream — miles of flowing mountain pavement transitions, endless gravel curves, and remote backcountry roads that seem to stretch forever. Known for its nonstop corners and vast open terrain, this route delivers a true off-the-grid experience where cell service disappears, and the ride becomes the only focus. Spanning more than 1,200 miles, the Idaho BDR offers a scale and remoteness that few adventure routes can match.

Beginning in the historic mining town of Jarbidge, Nevada, the route climbs north through open rangelands and into the Boise National Forest. Riders pass alpine reservoirs, remote camps near Trinity Lakes, and small mountain towns frozen in time. Highlights like the Magruder Corridor, and the legendary Lolo Motorway trace paths once traveled by explorers and frontiersmen, skirting the untouched Selway–Bitterroot Wilderness.

ADV Rider Training tours are led by Mike Greene, a retired firefighter and registered EMT with decades of leadership in demanding environments. Our structured approach combines professional ride management, real-world instruction, and a true “no rider left behind” philosophy — giving riders the confidence to ride farther, handle long days in the saddle, and fully experience one of the most iconic backcountry routes in North America.
